Description

Unlike typical power distribution and control applications, fuses in photovoltaic systems are subject to unique conditions. Prolonged exposure to environmental factors can produce abnormal ambient temperatures that can affect fuse performance, conductor selection and size. To this end, chifeng has carried out extensive research and development on fuses, which are specially designed and tested to safely protect photovoltaic systems with high DC voltage and low fault current.

Chifeng have offered a compact, safe and economic circuit protect solution for solar system. As one of the Chifeng's solar broad portfolio of fuse products, CFPV1038 is 1000Vdc midget style. The CFPV1038 PV fuse is specifically designed or the protection of photovoltaic system with extreme ambient temperature conditions. The rated voltage of this series of fuses is up to 1000V, the rated current is up to 32A, and the rated breaking capacity is up to 20KA. Comply with IEC and UL standards, CFPV1038 can protect against the overload current and the short current produced by PV system. CFPV 1038 is also RoHS and REACH compliant.

FAQ

Q: What is the breaking capacity of a fuse?

A: Value of prospective current that a fuse is capable of breaking at a stated voltage under prescribed conditions of use and behaviour.

Q: What is the arcing time of a fuse?

A: Interval of time between the instant of the initiation of the arc in a fuse and the instant of final

arc extinction in that fuse.

Q: What is the operating time of a fuse?

A: Sum of the pre-arcing time and the arcing time.
